Plug the USB drive into the TV while completely powered off, then reconnect power to allow the MStar bootloader to detect the binary and automatically initiate the update.
My screen display is distorted after flashing because my panel is 1366x768 or 1680x1050. How do I apply the resolution patch?
The main software defaults strictly to 1920x1080. To adapt the board to a different panel resolution: Copy the resolution patch folder named svtupdate9255 (containing your specific target resolution patch) to your FAT32 USB drive. Insert the USB into the TV's USB port while the TV is powered on or during boot. The system will auto-apply the patch file from the svtupdate9255 directory to recalibrate display signals for 1366x768 or 1680x1050 panels.
What should I do if the standby light stays solid and the USB update does not start automatically?
Ensure your USB drive is formatted to FAT32 (not exFAT or NTFS) and that MstarUpgrade9255.bin is placed in the root directory (not inside any folder). If it still doesn't auto-start, hold down the physical Power button on the TV keypad while plugging in the wall power cord to force the hardware bootloader to scan the USB drive.
Will native apps like Netflix and SmartTube TV work immediately after flashing?
