What happens if the power cuts off while MstarUpgrade368.bin is actively installing?
An interrupted power supply during an MStar firmware write can corrupt the eMMC flash chip (soft-bricking the board). If this happens, format your USB drive to FAT32, re-copy MstarUpgrade368.bin to the root directory, plug it into the TV, and hold down the physical power button on the TV's side panel while plugging in the AC power cord to force a hardware recovery flash.
Can I use a 64GB or larger USB 3.0 drive to perform this software upgrade?
It is strongly recommended to use a USB 2.0 flash drive between 4GB and 16GB formatted to FAT32 with a standard master boot record (MBR) partition table. Larger USB 3.0 or exFAT/NTFS drives are often not recognized by the low-level MStar bootloader during the cold-boot initialization sequence.
