The DH-XVR5108HS-I3 has multiple hardware generations, including references to V2.0 and V3.0. Dahua's firmware documentation specifically warns about hardware versions, and the model appears in both older XVR5x08-I3 firmware and newer V3.0 firmware families.

2. Check the PCB for the exact hardware revision.
3. Identify the SPI flash chip and its capacity.
4. Read and save the original flash contents whenever possible.
5. Confirm the replacement dump matches the board revision and memory size.
6. Program the dump using a compatible SPI programmer.
7. Verify the programmed data.
8. Reinstall the chip if it was removed.
9. Power up the XVR and test HDMI/VGA output.
10. Check camera inputs, HDD detection, network and system operation.
